Hello Hellebore Lovers!

The Hellebore Hurrah! Opening Weekend is this weekend February 27th-March 1st, 2015. We have over 90 different kinds of hellebores this year for your gardening pleasure including a very exciting selection of the rarest form of Lenten rose: the anemone centre or semi-double. In previous years there may be just a handful of anemones amongst a few thousand hellebores. This year the ratio is much better!

Anemone centres or semi-double hellebores are the rarest forms of hellebore. They have a beautiful mass of colourful ruffles in a ring around the centre of each flower. Each one is different and they are highly collectible. These anemone centres hail from the Winter Jewels Cherry Blossom strain bred by Marietta O'Byrne. Here are pictures of some of the anemone centres available at the Hellebore Hurrah! Feb 27-Mar 1, 2015. First come, first serve! In the past we've only ever had a few anemone centres but this year we have many! Here are some pictures I took of them today:

Full details of the Hellebore Hurrah! are included below. We hope to see you this weekend!
