E-Newsletter: The Hellebore Hurrah! Opening Weekend 2011
from Phoenix Perennials!
Rain, Shine or Tuktoyaktuk!
The Hellebore Hurrah! must go on!
The Hellebore Hurrah! is this weekend. Mother Nature has frequently had a sense of humour the weekend of the Hurrah! We have held it in all kinds of weather conditions over the years: pouring rain, zero degrees and flurries, 15 degrees Celsius and sunny, you name it, it's happened. One year it snowed eight inches a few days before the Hurrah! so we made two snowmen to greet you with hellebore flowers for eyes!
Remember that the Hellebore Hurrah! is held inside our big shade greenhouse. With a little sun it will be toasty warm in there. We'll also have tea and hot chocolate and cookies to keep you warm. Still, dress for the weather so that you'll be warm and comfy.
I'll wait to see what you think but it could be the best Hellebore Hurrah! EVER! We're so proud of the selection and the thousands of hellebores blooming their hearts out for you.
Below you will find a montage of preview photos of the Hellebore Greenhouse taken in the days leading up to the Hurrah!
We can't wait to see you at the nursery! Please tell all your friends and neighbours and even bring them along.
Friends don't let friends miss the Hellebore Hurrah!
