Anemone nemorosa
Common Name: Wood Anemone Family: Ranunculaceae (The Buttercup Family)

Notes:
This charming woodland groundcover produces cute little one inch wide anemone flowers in early spring above the nicely dissected foliage. Each year we carry a number of varieties in shades of white, blue, green, and yellow. Use wood anemones to underplant dark flowered hellebores in order to help show them off against the dark soil.

Native Habitat:
Woodland and shady hillsides in all but the most base deficient or water-logged soils.
