Schisandra grandiflora 'Apricot Blush'
Common Name: Strawberry Vine Family: Schisandraceae (The Schisandra Family)

Notes:
Strawberry vine is a unique and unusual species from China and Russia. In spring this female selection, 'Apricot Blush', has small, lightly fragrant, orange flowers that develop into bright crimson berries with a lemony flavour and aroma perfect for tasty juice and preserves. 'Apricot Blush' requires a pollinator such as 'Valentine' and can produce 5-10 pounds of fruit per vine.

Asia and the Pacific - Asia - China and Japan

Native Habitat:
Mixed forests and shrubby areas at elevations of 1700 - 3300 metres in the Himalayas.
