Notes:
A real cottage primrose with double lavender-mauve FRAGRANT flowers that are perfect with the soft yellows of Spring. One of my favorites tucked near the plum foliage of Bergenia 'Bressingham Ruby', or at the feet of Helleborus foetidus.

Geogrpahical Origin:
Europe and Western Russia
Native Habitat:
Woods and hedgerows on acid and calcareous soils. Also found in the open on north-facing slopes.
