A very pale cowslip-coloured primrose that used to grow wild beside the road in Wales where Clare grew up. FRAGRANT. Likes rich, average-to-moist soil (on the heavy side) and protection from the afternoon sun. Divide every three years to keep it floriferous.

Geogrpahical Origin:
Europe and Western Russia
Native Habitat:
Woods and hedgerows on acid and calcareous soils. Also found in the open on north-facing slopes.
