You just can't help but love this classic cottage garden plant. All your grandmothers had it in their gardens and you should too. I do! D. spectabilis is the classic bleeding heart with rose-pink outer petals over white inner ones that form pendulous hearts that hang from the elegantly arching stems. Blooms for ages in the spring garden. May go dormant in summer if soils are dry.
