Notes:
Of all the fragrant shrubs for the late winter/early spring garden, Osmanthus is one of most delightful. It has stiff, leathery, toothed leaves that are glossy green above and speckled beneath. The tubular flowers are pure white and highly fragrant. Positioned this plant where its sweet perfume can easily be enjoyed, beside a pathway or near a garden seat. Well-drained soil improved with a little compost.
