Drooping sedge will develop into a bold, dark green grass-like plant with dramatic, pendulous, six inch long, brown flower spikes on tall arching stems. Provide moist soils and part shade. Pair with Astilbe, Epimedium, Hosta, and Ligularia.

Native Habitat:
Damp, semi-shady woods on clayey soils.
