This eastern North American classic is best known as a food source for larval monarch butterflies. It is a stoloniferous (spreading) perennial with thick, leather leaves and intriguing clusters of fragrant pink flowers in summer. Interesting seed pods open to reveal silky white seeds. Deer resistant.
