These hardy, easy-to-grow amaryllis relative has bold strap like leaves rising from large fleshy bulbs. In summer the foliage is topped with pink amaryllis-like flowers over a long period. This hybrid was bred in the 19th century in England from the two hardiest crinums, two South African species: C. bulbispermum and C. moorei.
