Common Name: Sedum Family: Crassulaceae (The Crassula Family)

Sedum palmeri DJH 420B
Zoom In Photo:

Notes:
At first I thought this was an Echeveria while visiting Heronswood Nursery in Washington a few years ago. This sedum offers evergreen rosettes of broad, rounded blue-green foliage and very pretty clusters of yellow flowers in mid- to late summer. Great for tumbling over a wall. Quite hardy over the last four winters in Vancouver in average garden soil, though sharp drainage is preferred. A collection of Dan Hinkley's from the mountains of Mexico.

Geogrpahical Origin:
North America
Native Habitat:
Pine/agave association, growing in partial shade, in very dry soils at moderate elevations.
