Not quite hardy but fantastic as a patio and houseplant, C. miniata has been a favourite of plantlovers since Victorian times. The dark green, strap-like foliage shows off the beautiful clusters of glowing orange and yellow flowers in late spring or summer. The resulting large fruit lasts for two years, first green then brilliant red which is fantastic against the foliage. Minimum two degrees Celsius.
