Notes:
'Moudry' is best known for its showy, purplish-black, bristly, bottle brush-like flower spikes that arch outward from clumps of mid green foliage in late summer. Flower spikes turn brownish as the seeds form and spikes usually persist until late fall or early winter.

Grassy places and waste ground in lowlands.
