This versatile, clump forming, noninvasive perennial goldenrod boldly displays arching wands of clustered gold flowers, contrasted by blue-green stems in September. Despite these characteristics you might still be unconvinced by a goldenrod. This species is also tolerant of dry shade and it's an incredible butterfly magnet and cut flower. Worth a try?
