Unique, bright orange, furry, tubular flowers arranged in whorls around the stem. Medium green, triangular leaves with textured edges. Freely branching and upright. Blooms in early summer unlike Leonotis leonurus which doesn't bloom in our climate until at least September. Apparently hardy to zone 8 but a protected situation, good drainage and a little trial and error might be required.
