Baptisia Decadence 'Lemon Meringue'
Common Name: False Indigo Family: Fabaceae (The Legume Family)

Baptisia Decadence 'Lemon Meringue'
Zoom In Photo:

Impressively vigorous compared to other yellow baptisia, 'Lemon Meringue' forms an upright, vase-shaped mound of attractive blue-green foliage topped with long, charcoal stems carrying charcoal buds and lemon yellow flowers. The cultivars of the Decadence Series from breeder Hans Hansen were selected specifically for their shorter, more compact habit and unique flower colours. Baptisia are like perennial lupins. Though they are herbaceous they act much like a shrub for design purposes.
