This new selection is a blue flowered form found in Wakayama prefecture in Japan many years ago that has only recently become available. 'Soryu' means 'Blue Dragon' referring to the lavender-blue colour of the delicate orchid lowers. Propagated from seed but rhizomes have been bloomed and colours confirmed. The leaves are arching, broad and grass-like. This easy terrestrial orchid is native to China and Japan. Best in part shade in evenly moist, well-drained soil.
