Sweet Trillium has large sessile white flowers that are mildly fragrant. The leaves are green and can be mottled with brownish or dark green spots. This species is rarely available and makes an elegant addition to the shade garden, especially planted in drifts. Remember that trilliums can take a year off underground in the year after planting.
