Notes:
A fine shade plant with aromatic foliage, producing creamy-yellow plumes in midsummer over golden foliage. Loves moisture. Grown for its startling foliage which sings next to Polemonium caeruleum 'Bressingham Purple' or contrasts well with the black foliage of mondo grass (Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens').

Europe and Western Russia
North Central and Eastern Asia
Native Habitat:
Wet ground in swamps, marshes, fens, wet woods and meadows, wet rock ledges and by rivers, but not on acid peats.
