Early Spring Offerings: Hellebores & 20% Off Bareroot Bulbs
Celebrating our 12th Anniversary Season!
Hello Gardening Friends Across Canada!
Though winter is raging across much of Canada, spring is coming and with it another exciting and fulfilling year of gardening. To get your early spring gardens going we have just launched our 2015 hellebore offerings: 63 amazing zone 4-5 hardy plants that are the first major group of perennials to bloom in the spring. If you don't have hellebores in your garden yet, we highly recommend that you peruse our mail order site to learn more about them and choose some for your garden. They are easy-to-grow, have evergreen foliage, can grow in shade or part sun, and bloom when nothing else is happening in your garden. I would go so far as to say no garden is complete without this important group of perennials.
In particular, don't miss 'Rosemary' or Spring Promise 'Lily'. These are both really special recent and new introductions.
Hellebore orders will be shipped in March as soon as weather conditions in your area are suitable to receive them.
We are also offering an exciting assortment of bareroot bulbs and rhizomes available until March 2nd, 2015 for 20% off for shipping in March. Shipping them to you bareroot saves us from potting them up and growing them on, savings we can pass along to you. After March 2nd the price will return to normal and the plants will be available later in the season potted and in growth if supplies last. If you plan to order bareroot please make sure that if bulbs can't yet be planted outside that you have the ability to pot them upon receipt and place in a cool, frost free location until they can be moved outside. They can be kept in a cool garage, shed or basement. Even the crisper of the fridge would do..
Our full Spring Catalogue will go online in early March with over 500 different plants for your gardening pleasure. These plants will ship from May onwards.
For now, experience early spring and start ordering for your 2015 garden. Have a look at our Mail Order Site!
